Middlesea Assist

Established in 2012, Middlesea Assist brings together Mapfre Middlesea plc, Malta’s leading insurer and Mapfre Asistencia, the majority shareholder and multinational assistance company with presence in five continents.

Middlesea Assist specialises in all kinds of assistance services and specialty risks products with a special focus on roadside, home and travel assistance related products.

Organisational Structure

How did it start?

Middlesea Assist started operating  on the 16th of January 2012 with 13 employees as a venture between MAPFRE Middlesea and MAPFRE Assistencia.  At this point, Middlesea Assist only provided basic assistance services.​

In 2013 the first motor extended warranty contract was signed together with the first back-office agreements with MAPFRE Middlesea.  In 2014 Brown & White warranty was introduced together with Card Protection.  2015 brought the first Accidental Damage warranty​

…and the rest is history!​
